Arid Lands Greenhouses

Our family drove down from Phoenix to visit Arid Lands, and they did not disappoint. The employees were very knowledgeable and patient with us and our many questions. I could probably spend all day walking around the property just looking at everything. Great people with great plants and prices 🌵💛 I’ve also ordered from their website and the plants arrived healthy and well packaged.

I used to really enjoy shopping here. It's about 40 minutes away from me but has been worth the trip. Recently I've made a few trips out as I'm redoing an area of my yard, and have spent a few hundred dollars. On the second to last trip I made the drive looking for a specific succulent, just to be told that even though it was available online (still is) that they couldn't sell it to me. Today I went again, and was scolded by a new employee for going into a room that the owner had previously told me was open for retail. I apologized and told him I didn't know and it was unmarked, and he gave me a dirty look, turned his back and walked away. I decided to cut my shopping short at that point even though I was still looking for a number of things because he had made me so uncomfortable. When I got to the register, I asked him if I could swap a plant out, and he rudely said "good, that one's not for sale anyways" (it was definitely from a retail area). I left feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. I get the feeling that they don't want local customers there at all, which is a shame because I have loved supporting them over the years and have told anyone who would listen about them. The owner is a really nice guy, and there's another guy there whos tall and has dark hair and has been there forever who's also really nice, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be making the trip again.

Great environment. Very nice helpful people. There was a lot of cactus and plants i had never seen before. It was a great place to visit. Highly recommend

Overall good experiences with this company. High quality shipping. Commiphora I had bought a year ago is still growing although I had killed a Euphorbia but under my fault.

This place is a little rustic but it has a nice selection of potted/specimen cacti. It also has a great selection of haworthia succulents. Nice people too, who clearly know what they are doing.
