Santa Barbara Greenhouses

I purchased a greenhouse a number years ago, and I had to replace the exhaust fan. I spoke to the person on the phone he told me he had to order the motor I did not clarify it was going be the exact motor that was installed originally in the greenhouse.I received the product yesterday a week later and turns out it is not the same brand or quality of the original fan I saw the one on Amazon for about 200$ less if this is the way he treats his returning customers I’m no longer going to be one.Buyer Beware 🧐

I purchased a 9x12 deluxe greenhouse kit from Santa Barbara. It was delivered quickly and I was impressed with the quality of the design, the material, and how it all fit together. My son and I had fun putting the kit together. I was a great project. I will say that the instructions could be more robust and detailed and if you have glass walls, it is a must to have two people on the project. The glass shipment was impressive. It came in great shape and all panels fit just as they were supposed to. The final result is a nice looking and functional greenhouse. I highly recommend this product.

We have now enjoyed our Santa Barbara Greenhouse for 6 months since the installation. In short we are extremely satisfied with our (deluxe model) lean to 9x12 greenhouse. It is beautiful and well designed. We are impressed with the grade of the redwood used and quality of the preassembled panels. That quality was clear as we experienced near perfect alignment of the panels during the straightforward installation. Even the last panel to go in matched on all sides. We did not need to use a single shim nor have any “gaps” between panels. Most critically, the service and support we received before the purchase (we needed to customize the greenhouse), arranging for shipment, the shipment itself, during assembly on site, and with follow-up was extremely knowledgable and professional. It sure helps when you can speak directly with the designer / owner and the person who actually built your greenhouse. The ability to see the product in the Oxnard, CA showroom is a real advantage. And a special mention of the actual shipment as we were very pleased with the higher service optional shipper. I highly recommend! The one weakness are the installation instructions for the pre-assembled panels. And, although they have good foundation plans available you need to ask for them. The ready access to knowledge staffs over the phone during installation and well marked materials more than compensated for the scant installation instructions. Lastly, we did add a roof overhang (as recommended) and I think that is really necessary. It should even provide an inch or so more overhang. If you are considering purchase a greenhouse (not just a Santa Barbara Greenhouse) please be aware that they are not watertight - that is not a flaw. However with the overhang and really good connection between side and roof panels we have not experienced any significant leaking.

. The wood does not come stained, treated or shellacked. There were no instructions on how to care for the wood or plastic. Therefore the wood looks awful after 2 years and the plastic double paned windows have water in between them. I called him regarding that and he said I didn't perform the proper maintenance on them
