Mar 4, 2026Once we got past the line, we got let in quick. There are many noises once you get in, and you can feel the temperature change. They don't mess around when it comes to their plants. Oh, and outside in the front was amazing. I hope to have a picnic there sometime!

Feb 25, 2026There's so much to love about Golden Gate Park, especially on a rainy afternoon when the clouds part and the sun makes a brief, golden appearance. On a recent stroll with a matcha from California Kahve (right next to Koret Children's Playground), stumbled upon the hidden gem that is the Fern Dell and Lily Pond. Then I realized Conservatory of Flowers was just a short walk away. Somehow, despite being an SF resident, this was my first visit- which feels ridiculous considering I became a thriving plant mom during the pandemic and city residents receive free admission. (It's also free for Gardens Members, military/veterans, Museums for All participants, and children 4 and under.) *CLOSED ON WEDNESDAY! Stepping inside felt like entering another climate entirely. The air was warm and lush, layers of plants unfolding in every direction. The gentle sound of fountains, and the calm was immediate and restorative which nearly cured my seasonal depression. While the space is more intimate than I expected, there's plenty of room to wander slowly, linger, and even sit on a bench to soak it all in. Bringing in a mini sketch pad and some water color pens would be perfect! I know they do field trips here and a reminder of just how much nature is tucked into Golden Gate Park. Beyond this building, you can explore the outdoor beauty of the San Francisco Botanical Garden or find serenity at the Japanese Tea Garden.

Feb 24, 2026Very cool, a little expensive entrance fee but you can buy the bundle for Botanical Garden and Japanese Garden so it's worth it. I walked between them.

Feb 18, 2026It won't take long to visit, but its an opportunity to take a second from city life to appreciate some delicate flowers.

Jan 2, 2026Seems very underrated. I thought it was gonna be a dome-like greenhouse, but it was a lot more than that. It is a beautiful facility and I 100% recommend trying it out! It's perfect for photos, dates, etc .. I was very intrigued and in awe.
