Update: Flowers you can eat. In addition to the great cause this organization supports, they have helpful service and sturdy Oklahoma weather resistant plants. I have found two varieties that do well in planters. Portulaca, also known as Purslane, does very well. It comes in various colors and fun fact; you can eat it. Add the blossoms to salads or eat it right out of the planter. Check it carefully before you pop it into your mouth. Sometime there is extra protein hiding in the blossoms. The other plant I am having great success with is Pentas. They are tough and hardy. An added benefit, they attract butterflies. I think both of these plants could be classified as pretty weeds. That’s why they do so well and are easy to grow. Buy your plants at A New Leaf Garden Center. We buy our outdoor potting plants here in the spring and fall. They have a good selection of hardy plants that are suitable for various Oklahoma growing conditions. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful in making sure you pick the proper plants for your location. This fall we purchased three pots of beautiful mums. See Pictures! They have bloomed out creating a spectacular display of color. Still thriving and surviving the recent storms very well.

Ordered a Mother’s Day bouquet and set it up for delivery. It never came, very frustrating. I like a new leaf and support their mission but I’d advise against ordering something online as they don’t actually fulfill the order.

I just bought some beautiful plants today. I will definitely be coming back for more!

We went this morning. My wife bought pansies and is in the process of planting them right now. All the plants in the nursery looked healthy. I recommend giving them a once over.
