Bell Nurseries Inc

I was in a pinch and needed plant food, so I stopped at Bell Nurseries in Hamden. I was so impressed! Not only did they have an amazing variety of plants, but they also had so much more to offer. I saw a great selection of wind chimes, knickknacks, seeds, fertilizers, soil, and birdbaths. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially compared to the big box stores. I ended up buying a metal stand birdbath, and I love watching the birds enjoy it every day. I highly recommend checking this place out! It's also conveniently located just off I-91 at Exit 10 (first exit off the connector) or off Route 15 (Wilbur Cross Parkway) at exits 51 or 52 depending on your direction. It's not far from the highway either way and is definitely worth skipping the big box store for.

Plants are healthy and if your looking for plants that are different Bells is the nursery for you. Owners are very helpful and knowledge of plantings and design.

Roberta was very welcoming and as a first time visitor it’s very important to feel welcomed. She was very helpful and ready to answer any questions. I love her selection of plants and the set up of the shop. Roberta is definitely an appreciative person, I’m soooo happy with my ivy I’ll definitely be back. 🪴🪻🌹💐🌸🌺🌻🌼🪷

Great nursery for any garden- most plants are presented in wide varieties- peonies, heucheras, petunias, hostas, Japanese maples and others. We have got plants that we have not seen in our local nurseries on Long Island. Friendly and helpful staff. We will come again when in the area.
