Nov 12, 2025A slice of peace from the maddening crowd. No matter what kind of garden you enjoy there is likely an area of Blake that will appeal to you. I include a photo of my kid talking with the koi in the pond. You can talk to them too, just slow down and take your time and approach them quietly. The one problem is the limited days and hours they are open, check the website and plan ahead, it's worth the effort.

Oct 3, 2025Great park! Lots of nice plants, some benches that overlook the bay, and an amazing Koi pond with the cutest Koi! Took my mom and nephew here, we had a great time!

Sep 10, 2025This is a beautiful garden in Kensington, Berkeley, free to visit. Former Blake family residence, it was donated to UC Berkeley and is now a public garden. The house was closed for visitors when we visited on August 2025. Not sure if it will be ever open to the public, but the surrounding gardens are definitely worth exploring. House was built to break the NW winds , and the placement of the gardens allow for magnificent views of the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. Heaven on Earth!
