I hired this company 6/30/2025 for a fire pit and deck project that was estimated to be a 3 week project in August 2025. The fire pit crew showed up in September and completed the project without issue. They were kind and cleaned up at the end of each day. It's beautiful. Unfortunately, after the fire pit was finished and 75% of the total project cost was paid, communication completely stopped. From September 10th-November 17 I was ghosted despite weekly texts to the project manager (Chad) and the owner (Derek), emails, and calls to their physical location in Coal Valley. That phone was never answered and the voicemail was always full. The project manager of the deck project (Joe) reached out 11/17, seemingly unaware I had been ghosted for months. He wanted to begin work on the deck. This coincided with a surgery I had scheduled for 11/21, but at this point I felt pressure to move forward just to get the project completed. Due to winter weather, the project was not completed until January 12th. The workmanship appears solid and Joe was an excellent communicator throughout and sensitive to my physical limitations post surgery, trying to make sure my dogs could still safely use my backyard. The railings were installed in black instead of white that had been discussed to match my house and the vinyl fencing. Again, I chose to leave this in order to get the project finished. This crew was friendly, but not as sensitive to clean up, leaving cigarette remnants and yellow crime scene tape in my yard. Brand new edging I had in my backyard around flower beds was trampled, some of it ruined. Mid-January I have a completed project I won't be able to enjoy until the spring. Overall, the quality of the work seems good, but the prolonged lack of communication, missed timelines, and inability to reach the company for months made this a very stressful experience. It is my understanding I am not alone in my experience with this company, sadly. I want to support local businesses, but will not return to this one. Since completion I have heard from the owner eagerly expecting payment. The first invoice did not reflect all of my progress payments, but oversights happen. That being said, I am now making final payments after Christmas and while the post surgery medical bills are rolling in. This was not the plan. I would caution future customers to get timelines and communication expectations clearly defined in writing before starting. If a more lucrative job becomes available, you may very well have to wait for yours to be completed.

Don't try to take your kids on a Thursday... Even though it says it's open online, they turned us away at the gate. There were a bunch of kids playing, apparently only school groups allowed on Thursday. Surely they a way to accommodate families as well as groups instead of turning away paying customers. My 3 year old was devastated I can't believe they wouldn't let us pay to play for a while. He was crying and so upset. We won't be back.

If you have a van, man in charge wants your pick up to go fast and without problems....lay the tree in a pot down inside the van...even if you have a trailer. The customer is usually wrong, They could not wrap the small tree so I could haul home in trailer. They have good people by terrible supervisor.
