I normally don't order my plants online but I took a chance and I can say it was the best choice I ever made. I have always been fascinated with dieffenbachia, i have different variations of dieffenbachia but always wanted a reflector. I discovered Crimson Horticulture Rarities on YouTube and I can honestly say I'm impressed wowed and in awe. I live in Cleveland Ohio and will be ordering more in the future. If you have never stopped in or if you are hesitant on buying your plants online stop hesitating and order from here.

If you’re from the SF Bay Area, I might ask you this as a litmus test: Do you know Crimson Horticultural Rarities? If you’re a die-hard fan, you’re my kind of person. Sure, Crimson can feel a bit intense at first—with its unmistakable gothic flair—but that’s exactly what makes it so compelling. It’s one of the few places where the romance of death and life, human form and botanical beauty, come together in such a thoughtfully curated way. Think: velvety, temperamental houseplants mingling with anatomical drawings and curious natural specimens—alive, decaying, sprouting all at once. If you live in the Bay and haven’t been? Go today. Seriously. (And—what’s going on with you?)

Allison and Risha were amazing to work with for our wedding! Their floral arrangements were absolutely beautiful, and I still can't stop thinking about all the incredible work they pulled together. Honestly, I just shared some concept images, and they pulled all the great work together. They also set up candles for the reception, and every guest was blown away by the attention to detail. Having them at my wedding was such a gift, and they did an outstanding job. I highly recommend them, and if I ever need floral arrangements (whether for a special event or just a simple bouquet) I’ll definitely reach out to them.

This is just one lonely bastards perspective, nothing more. After reading a review by another person of color, I thought I’d share my own experience. I've been in Oakland for over 25 years, and I believe there are certain “gray zones” I call color lines, areas that feel like they’re meant for white folks. It’s almost like I can picture some guy on horseback stopping me, asking if I have permission to be there. Because of that, I tend to avoid these spots, even though they’re in my own city. Places like Crimson Horticulture fall into this zone for me. Going there makes me step outside my comfort zone as a person of color, but my experience has been positive. The staff is friendly and helpful. I know someone else shared that they didn’t feel welcome, like they were being watched, but that wasn’t my experience. When I first started going there, I admit I probably looked like the last person you’d think had a plant collection. I look rough, like a convict, not someone who loves and cares for plants. But that’s the truth—my plants mean a lot to me. I enjoy being there, learning from the staff, who definitely know more about plants than I do. Is the store expensive? Yes, it’s a boutique in a wealthy area—what else can you expect? But again, this is just my take. If this place doesn’t vibe with you, there are plenty of other options out there. Just my two cents. Now you know. And knowing is half the battle… G.I. Joe

I have wanted a monstera forever and they had that for a good price, as well as countless other beautiful philodendrons, more varieties of snake plant than I knew of, cute fittonias and gorgeous prayer plants. So much to look at, I will have to return when I’m driving so I can bring more babies home!
