Sep 27, 2025Super helpful staff with a plant guarantee! We purchase all of our plans from Fairview. A year ago we purchased a number of butterfly bushes. One of them unfortunately died. We returned the plant and they replaced it while also providing advice on planting technique.

Aug 9, 2025Purchased what the employees suggested for our back area, which gets mostly sun. I don't know her name. It doesn't matter, but all 7 plants have died 3 days later, after significant watering each day. When I called Fairview, they really could have cared less. These things are always our responsibility, but we were very dependant on their experiance and suggestions, since my wife and I have little knowledge of plants. Thats why we went there and pay what I think are premium prices. Never again! I will never ever walk in that rip off retailer! Shame on you Fairview!! Your reply while it sounds nice, is VERY insincere! I called the DAY of! When we saw they were all dead! Spoke to 2 people. No one offered any remedy! It was "sorry the plants died!" No unfortunately, we will never walk into Fairview again.

May 6, 2025I have been using Fairview for my gardening needs since 2009. In fact, back then, they helped me plan my garden, which looks wonderful. Earlier in the year, I spent more than $100 on plants for spring. However, my most recent visit was marred by a very poor customer service experience. Here's the story. I bought a very pricey bird bath in spring last year, costing well over $150. It was very attractive, proper ceramic (unlike cheap fiberglass items) looked perfect along the path to my door. Then, in February this year, I noticed the bird bath was empty. The middle of the tray had broken away entirely so all the water leaked out of a big hole—clearly a design or manufacturing flaw. So this weekend, I went in to let them know, and the gentleman said nope, there was nothing they could do since nothing from the store was guaranteed beyond 30 days. There was no indication of sympathy or empathizing—just we're not going to do anything. At the very least, I'd expect them to apologize for selling shoddy product, most likely at 100% markup. And if I'd been in charge, I'd at least have offered something, perhaps a 10% discount on future purchases or something... So my recommendation--do NOT buy anything other than plants from Fairview (bird bath, plant pot, etc.). And if you want a quality product, shop elsewhere. We bought a bird bath from Atlantic Garden Center long before the piece of rubbish from Fairview and it is still keeping our beloved wild birds very happy!

Apr 7, 2025Visited on April 6th, and they are very low on perennial inventory. We ended up finding what we needed at Lowes. We asked about Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum 'Daruma' Chinese Fringe Flower. The gentleman that tried to assisted us was told by the department manager they can't do a callback to us to let us know when the plants are available, because we only two plants as it wasn't feasible from a time and money perspective. People at Fairview are nice because they say hello, and acknowledge if you need help, but service is not what it use to be. It was as if since we weren't buying a lot we were not important enough to earn my business. So I took my business elsewhere and very happy with Lowes. They took the time to find the plants and thanks to Lowes we are happy.
