I was thrilled to learn this service existed after multiple winters of struggling to keep my palms healthy. Gardens at Cheshire handled all of the pickup and drop off logistics and I was so happy to see my plants thriving when they came back. Will be working with them again

I cannot believe that any of these 5 star reviews are actually legitimate. I sent several plants belonging to a client to them for winter storage; 2023-2024. I was referred to Cheshire by a local retail nursery I buy from in Woodbury CT. Cheshire quoted me a price for storage (over $1300) & then ended up charging twice this amount. Her explanation: “ the estimate doesn’t include maintenance and transportation”. So why bother preparing an estimate in the first place?? We also asked to have a 5-1/2 ft olive tree repotted. I should have insisted on a separate estimate for this. They charged $300 to repot this tree into a standard issue terracotta pot. Needless to say, two brand new olive trees would have cost the same or less. All told,this has been a very unfortunate mistake on my part. I’m a professional in the horticultural business and can say that, in 40 years of working as a landscape designer/contractor, I have never been so blatantly ripped off.

Gardens at Cheshire is amazing. We have a ponytail palm we’ve had for 48 years. It’s gotten too big for us to repot and it has become a struggle to take it in and out each year. We found Gardens at Cheshire and they came and picked up our tree. They handled it superbly for safe transit. We visited it in the greenhouse and it was situated perfectly. Marilyn is a great customer service rep and showed us around their most impressive greenhouse where a wide variety of plants from around the region are professionally maintained. Today we got photos and videos of our ponytail being repotted. The job they did was unbelievable. The tree looks fantastic. They are a godsend. Definitely the find of the year. We give them our highest recommendation.

My palm tree plants came back to me in better shape then when they left. Couldn't be happier with the service!
