Good Winds

I visited Good Winds Nursery and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I was the only customer in the greenhouse and had my 9-month-old with me. The aisles were quite narrow, so I had to take her out of the stroller and carry her while I shopped. I placed two plants near the counter to purchase and asked the man (who I later learned was the owner) about the price of two others I had photos of on my phone. He appeared irritated and replied, “Just buy it, it’s not much.” Despite that response, I went ahead and purchased a couple of violets I liked. When I mentioned I was curious about another plant but hesitant to ask after his first response, he said most people simply bring items to the counter and put them back if they don’t like the price. I explained that I was holding my child and asked why that was a problem, but he gave no reply. After I paid, he asked who had sent me—as if I was there for some reason other than to shop. I told him I’m from Jackson, not Memphis.

Best nursery in town! Mitch is always so kind, helpful, & knowledgeable. I find any excuse to visit.

Great selection of plants, what a hidden gem in the heart of Germantown!

They did a great job of revamping my backyard after the bad winter freeze. Nice plants and good size. Would definitely recommend.

I visited this nursery on my way out of Memphis, and I seriously wish I was local to this place! They have a wide array of lovely plants, all in fantastic health, and a very friendly team (including Bob the cat)! I highly recommend visiting this nursery if you're in the area!
