Great Swamp Greenhouses

I really like the plants I bought from here about a month ago but I am deviated to report that the pitcher plant I bought came with long white worms (not earthworms) in the soil and possibly fungus gnats and the Alocasia Jacklyn I bought came with spider mites infestation which spread to my whole collection and now I am spending a lot of money and time trying to eradicate this. I may not ever fully eradicate these pests so I am very upset.

Great vibe, excellent staff and inventory. Everything is fresh, well maintained, and easily to find. At Christmas, this is a really festive and fun place to get a tree. My favorite in the area for sure.

I loved my experience here where one of the staff helped me find the plants I was looking for and was incredibly helpful. They have pretty good variety of indoor houseplants, and great prices as compared to some of the other places in the area. That being said, I purchased a 6ft Birds of Paradise for $175 and quickly realized that it was INFESTED with mealybugs. When I called asking if there was any possibility of a refund, exchange, or credit they refused. For a purchase as expensive as this was (I also purchased other plants in the same visit), I'd expect the company to help out. It's been 6 months of battling the mealybugs and it's been a losing battle filled with stress. Seeing a beautiful leaf unfurl, but be covered in mealybugs is an incredibly disheartening experience. Neem oil, qtips dipped in alcohol, and insecticide haven't been able to address this. EDIT: I reached out to the manager Justin who replied in an extremely helpful fashion and was able to provide a partial refund (and an explanation for why it may have been denied before) - really appreciate her working with me on this.

Christmas trees and ornaments are outstanding! Everybody should come down and take a peek. It's family friendly greenhouse.

Great Swamp Greenhouses is a great place for everything "garden"! The staff is helpful, knowledgeable & friendly! No matter the season Great Swamp has an enormous selection of plants, indoor plants, trees, perennial & annuals, and very nice seasonal decor.
