Green Hills Nursery

I’m not usually one to leave negative reviews, but I was genuinely disappointed by the lack of phone etiquette I experienced. I called to inquire about hydrangeas—specifically whether they were in stock and what the pricing looked like. I was told, “It depends on the hydrangeas, they are listed from $30–$40.” I then asked what varieties were available or if it would be more beneficial for me to come in and look in person. The response I received was, “Uh, well there’s nothing grown, so?” The tone felt dismissive, but I chose to continue the conversation. I asked whether they had other mature flowers ready to be potted, and the response, accompanied by a slight laugh, was, “Ha, what do you mean? Like we have roses…” At that point, I politely ended the call and let them know I would be taking my business elsewhere. It’s unfortunate, as I was genuinely looking forward to working with this company while relandscaping my yard. Customer service—especially over the phone—makes a lasting impression, and this experience fell short of expectations.

This nursery is top tier on plant selection and more importantly the STAFF. The incredibly friendly and knowledgeable people working here make this place such a nice place to shop. I am a customer for life because they treat everyone like family. Prices are incredibly fair and plants are great quality. My go to nursery for all my plants, both indoor and outdoor.

This is my favorite nursery in Fresno. It is near Belmont nursery, so if you're going to Belmont, also check out Green Hills. Green Hills is a little smaller than Belmont. But the selection is just as wide and the quality of the plant material seems to be nicer. Updated 9/1/2025 Green Hills nursery has an amazing selection of larger trees in boxes. The quality and selection are hard to beat in the valley. Must see!

Great variety and prices but best of all wonderful staff who are very patient, knowledgeable, and super helpful!! We will definitely keep on coming back here for our garden needs.

Absolutely loved my visit to Green Hills Nursery. Their plant selection is incredible… rows and rows of healthy, vibrant options for every space and style. I’ve been to plenty of nurseries, but the variety here really stands out. What impressed me just as much as the plants was the staff. Everyone I spoke with was not only kind and welcoming but clearly passionate and knowledgeable. You can tell they love what they do and genuinely want to help you find the right fit for your garden or home. And the prices? Surprisingly reasonable. In fact, lower than what I’ve seen at some of the big box stores and even other local spots. If you’re looking for beautiful plants, friendly expert help, and a massive selection without breaking the bank, Green Hills Nursery is absolutely worth the stop.
