Harolds Indoor Outdoor Plants

I came for one item which was water lilies. There’s both a sign saying water lilies for sale for $60 and a water Lillie in the pond. The staff lied to me and said that it was routed to the bottom of the pond and it was very clearly easily to just reach in and pick the plant up with zero effort. So I did so and took it to the front to check out and then they said that so they it wasn’t for sale. Waste of time.

As a "northerner" I felt like I was in another world. This is a magical greenhouse/plant nursery that feels like time has stood still. It feels as much like a botanical attraction as much as a retail store. For locals, I'm positive it's a fantastic resource. The prices seem very reasonable. But as a mere curious tourist I was delighted! The staff is very friendly and willing to answer questions. I spent far longer than I expected, just wandering the spaces and enjoying the atmosphere. In fact, I went back again a few days later! There's easy parking and it's easily accessible by public transit bus. I so much wished I could bring home a suitcase full of orchids! I wish there were more places like this. Spend some money here, they deserve it!

By far our favorite garden store in town. Such a good selection of plants, pots, and friendly cats. Shout out to Kurt who is super super helpful.

God awful customer service. Nice nursery but the lady speaking to me was talking down to me and asking me a million questions. She was speaking to me like I was a child because I didn’t know what type of plants to buy, how much sunlight they will get etc. Will go elsewhere. I don’t know if she was racist or if that was just her personality. New in town and not a warm welcoming at all. Never again. I love plants and flowers and I was so excited to try a nursery in my new city. Will be going to the 9th Ward nursery or Home Depot in the future.
