Hillard's Greenhouse

I thought my visit to the farm today will be great and my husband and I will have a n amazing thing to share with our kids and friends. Unfortunately it was the first time and definitely will be our last time and for sure I don’t recommend it to anyone to visit. There was no one at the entrance or in the farm to ask about their procedures. I thought at the end of the tracks, there will be a check out place; unfortunately, there was none of that but other people who I end up asking 3 different ones until I got directed to the garage to pay. When I asked the lady at the shop to charge me for the fruits from the shop and the vegetables I picked from the farm, she was loud and rude saying “you didn’t get checked in before picking them!” Honestly and innocently, I responded “yes because I didn’t know about the procedures and there was no help at the gate. I came her after asking others to pay. I saw these fruits and I want to buy them with the vegetables I picked. Is that ok?” She said “ these fruits can be paid her but not the vegetables because there is a special place to buy them from. We keep these things separate. And you should have read the sign at the gate and not enter before checking at the garage first.” She was loud and she embarrassed me in front of other customers who stood there to watch. She had no respect to an old respected woman like me. She threatened me and my old husband to call the owner who happened to be her mother. When her mother came, she was even more rude and disrespectful to me and my husband. She was loud and rude stating it several times that I embarrassed myself and what were your intentions when you were picked the vegetables. This family business obviously never experienced honest people in their lives and they think there are no honest people left in the world! Also, they seems that there is an ugly racist taboo in their beliefs that I was discriminated and disrespected by the owners (mom & daughter). The mother started to shout at me and my husband asking us to leave. She would not have done anything like this if I I was not Muslim woman. This woman showed disrespect to her own gender and hatred to Muslims. I came to them with all of my kind heart and compassion and lots of love and respect to people who work with their hands to save the environment and earth. And I left their farm being disrespected and humiliated in public by 2 women. What a shame! I am very disappointed of them. May God open your hearts to kindness and peace to ALL of the people not only your race.
