The Bloom and the Crown Upon the marble terrace high, where silken banners brush the sky, the sovereign walks in gilded grace, yet halts before a flower’s face. A rose, aglow in crimson fire, its petals soft as courtly choir, whispers truths the wise have known: the bloom must fall, the seed be sown. Lilies bow in perfumed air, as if in prayer for kings’ despair, for crowns will rust, and thrones will fade, as blooms collapse in evening shade. The violet hums a softer song, a fleeting note, not meant for long, yet in its scent, a moment glows— a monarch breathes, a spirit knows. Gold and silk may line the halls, but time will crumble castle walls. And so, the wise, like petals bright, must drink the sun before the night.
