Kollman's Greenhouse

The size of Kollman's from the road is deceiving, it just doesn't look that big when you drive by. It's a lot bigger than you imagine and has a wide variety of perennials, garden plants, annuals and tropical plants. It's no frills, the buildings have been around for many decades. There is a restroom available, but you have to walk about a hundred yards to the red barn to get to it. The plants are healthy. We bought yet another Hosta we didn't have...

I love supporting local businesses but I also feel like business owners and their employees should create pleasant experiences for their customers. We've purchased from Kollman's Greenhouse several times and each time we've felt as though we are disturbing or annoying the woman at the front counter with our arrival. Today I purchased $100 worth of mums and left feeling like my business wasn't appreciated at all. Today also marks the last day we'll be going to Kollman's. The owners of Pochedly's out in Hiram are ALWAYS so kind and appreciative of our business. I would rather drive 30 minutes out of my way to support a local business who greets me with a smile on their face. It's simple really. Treat your customers kindly and with respect and they'll return. If not, they'll find somewhere else to go.

If you're looking for a family oriented greenhouse, then this is the spot! Betsy(owner) is very nice along with everyone who works here! Tons of new plants being planted daily since this is the growing season! They also have a nice selection of succulents.
