Loma Vista Farm

I took my autistic daughter here a couple months ago to one event they held and I just wish the staff this day could’ve been more understanding and made us feel more welcoming. One lady told my daughter to not run and go after the animals, in a more angry way, which I totally understand, just didn’t understand why it wasn’t mentioned to me in a friendlier way. I obviously tried to explain this to my daughter who is also speech delayed and didn’t quite understand me at the time. My daughter then seen staff with multiple boxes of chips and when my daughter seen and asked me for some, I tried to buy some but the staff said it was only for staff. I was willing to buy some, as I came a little unprepared, but it just resulted in My daughter having a huge meltdown because they were only for staff. I should’ve packed snacks and I understand their reason for not wanting to scare any animals and I am not upset at that at all, I just will never forget the staff that was here this day looking at me with judgment for bringing her here and I just wish they were a little more understanding, as we’re just parents who are trying their best.

Today was the harvest festival & it was gorgeous at the farm! Lots of plant life & veggies growing. The animals are super friendly & come right up to the fences to say hi even though feeding them is prohibited. You are allowed to go in some of the enclosures to pet the creatures, though & can even brush & comb the bunnies fur! The pond looked well kept & clean & the ducks were lil cuties!

This farm is awesome!! 🤩 My children used to go to Dan Mini Elementary School & had yearly field trips there THEY LOVED IT!! They're teens now & they were just sharing their good memories about this place!! 😁 You can NOT pet the animals if I remember correctly but they do have a working farm that the kids at Loma Vista School help maintain & they sell Pumpkins for the Halloween season 🎃 go support!!

Cute little low-key farm experience. Great for my elderly mom to get out of the house and enjoy some fresh air and animals.
