So many exotic plants! I came here when I was younger and I thought it was fantastic. Hopefully I come back again soon!

If you love beautiful and unusual plants across a variety of genera, do yourself a favor and visit the plant house. Better yet, visit at different times of the year when alternating plants are in bloom. If the nearest parking lots are unavailable, look for street parking near the student housing.

One of the best greenhouse collections I've ever seen! While much smaller than places such as the NYBG, it makes up for it with smaller crowds and unique exhibits. Some notable mentions being the wall of woods from around the world, a very extensive fern house that hosts an impressive display of lecanopteris (ant ferns), multiple species of amorphophallus which includes the infamous corpse flower, and a large number of welwitschias scattered around the building. While I would love to recommend visiting the Lyman Plant House to all, due to tight pathways, stairs, and prickly cacti near ground level, I think it is best if people with mobility issues and young children stick to the next door botanical garden instead. TL;DR, amazing greenhouse, but not a place for young kids or those who have trouble navigating tight corridors and the occasional stairs. Happy travels!

What a beautiful experience this botanic garden is. The bulb show was feature when we went (in March), so colorful! It was too cold for any of the botanic garden, but the conservatory was warm. The plant house, conservatory and botanic garden ate free but they accept donations. Appropriate for many ages, with a relaxed atmosphere. We went on a weekday and it wasn’t too crowded. You can park on Elm Street with metered parking.
