This USED to be one of my favorite greenhouses and I'd visit often. One of the highlights of the year was visiting and purchasing flowers around Mother's day. I'm sad to say this is no longer the case and the last couple years I've found problems with their offerings and their pricing. Last year I was startled to see Nana's selling zinnia plants that had obviously been exposed to herbicide (when questioned why they would sell even sell these and at full price to boot, staff claimed that the damage would right itself--but as a very experienced gardener, I know that claim was misleading at best). This year, 2025, I found many of their veggie plant offerings in dreadful overgrown condition or alternately, very tiny. Despite this, I happily purchased a rose bush for $40 only to find when I brought it home for replanting that what I'd ACTUALLY purchased was a bare root rose that someone at Nana's had put in a large pot and filled in the space with potting soil (i.e. MINIMAL root development). I guess I'll make the best of this purchase (since of course all sales are final)...but I definitely feel like I was cheated in what I paid for. Had I wanted a bare root rose, I would have purchased one from any number of sources for less than half the price I paid for this. Shame on you Nana--you had so much promise and used to be great. And, while I realize the cost of everything has gone up, why are you so set on keeping up with Gainan's pricing schedule (ugh)?

Lots of beautiful selections, kind folks, but several plants are already hurt by cold nights & I'd thought that a Montana nursery could protect them better.
