Paul's Greenhouse

I just had an awful experience at Paul's Greenhouse, where I have shopped for years, including several trips already this spring. One star is one too many for this place. Their listing online says they close at 5:30 on weekdays, and so does the large sign with their hours posted on the fence at the entry. I arrived just after 5 and the gate was partially closed, but there was also a "Welcome" sign propped up at the gate, and some cars in the parking lot. When I entered the greenhouse I saw one other customer shopping with a cart and some flowers. A male employee approached me and said they closed at 5. I said I thought they were open until 5:30, but that I would come back another time, and turned to return my cart and leave. He said if I wasn't planning to take long, I could go ahead and get what I came for. I said thanks and hurried through the greenhouse, grabbing what I needed. When I went to the checkout after just a few minutes, a tall woman with longish brown hair who has waited on me often said something about being rude, and said, "You knew we were closed and unlocked the gate and came in anyway." I told her I did not do that (I would NEVER do something like that), and she again accused me of undoing a bungie cord and entering through the closed fence. I again told her I did NOT do any such thing, and said never mind, I didn't want the flowers I was planning to buy, and walked out. She said, "Good, I didn't want to sell them to you anyway." That's it for me. I will NEVER step foot in that place again, and I have been a loyal customer of theirs for years. What an awful, humiliating and disturbing experience. They should not be in business if that is how they treat their customers.

Great Giant spikes at a reasonable price. Have not found these anywhere and if I did they would be twice the price!!!

Beautiful and abundant selection of hand grown flowers. The hanging baskets were so full and you can’t beat their prices! Very friendly and helpful staff too. We will definitely be returning.

No stars!!!! 2 females that work here entered my brother's home, illegally along with the owner's son. The females were given access by him. They were to help pack my brother's belongings AND his (late significant other -- she passed away). These females chose to help them selves to my brother's belongings. Some of the items were thrown in a dumpster and other things were taken to one of the females home. He was able to get a few things back. --- this past several weeks. This maybe the last year. that this place is open. (Rumor -- closing for good. YEAH!!! Shop if you must -- but as for me, my family, and all of my frien wil not patronize a place that has this type of personnel. We have pictures and Police report!

It's a little off the beaten path but worth the visit. I come every year because they have terrific prices ($1.35 for a single pack) and some hard to find petunias( black, starry sky, double wave). The staff is always friendly and I love seeing the shop dog.
