About 10 years ago I bought a dwarf tangelo tree for 50bucks.the salesperson told us how we would be better off with this dwarf tree (we asked to see the tangelo trees).its been 10 years of fertilizing etc never more than 6 pieces of fruit a year. I finally dug it up 2day only 3 feet tall!

Richard’s has a great variety of plants suited for Arizona and knowledge to go with. The bagged soil they produce/sale is so healthy I used in my raised beds. They are friendly, helpful and never judge a ‘brown thumb’ like me. Thanks Richard’s!

I was referred to Richard's Garden Center because I have been searching for a yuzu lime tree for over a year now. Yuzu is a unique citrus featured in japanese cuisine that my husband absolutely adores and unfortunately I could not find it in stock near me. As we are based in South Phoenix, I was only familiar with the nurseries in our immediate area. Thanks to a local gardening FB group, I was told of Richard's. After confirming availability via a morning phone call my husband and I made the 30min drive this afternoon and boy were we pleasantly surprised. I'm sure he was glad we did not bring the larger vehicle because if I could have, we would have gotten more than the 3 trees we ended up with. Max greeted us and helped us locate the elusive yuzu tree, as well as a calamansi, and jujube. Max, the picture of a bright, young professional, shared his knowledge and tips for growing our newly acquired trees as well as his experiences with both kumquats and figs. We walked away knowing that we plan to return later this year (fingers crossed there will be eversweet or ariana pomegranate, chojuro asian pear and pandan). Thank you Max!
