Smart Gardens Nursery

I stopped thinking I would get something cold from the coffee shop, but it's closed. I had just finished a 20+ mile bike ride on the Centennial Trail, dehydrated and dizzy. Rather than send me next door to Nom Nom, the gal gave me a chair and refilled her own water bottle for me. We have bought plants from here before and will certainly be back. I recommend this business due to the integrity and willingness to help a complete stranger. Thank you Smart Gardens!

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this will be the last time I waste my time or money at Smart Gardens. I’ve been a loyal customer for the past six years, always purchasing hanging baskets for Mother’s Day. This year, though, the quality was shockingly poor. When I asked a staff member if they’d be getting more in, she told me no, but assured me that the baskets would “turn around.” Trusting her word, I went ahead and bought them anyway. Big mistake. I gave them as gifts, and they looked awful so much so that both recipients tried to exchange or return them. They were met with dismissive excuses like “you can cut it back” (cut back a new plant? Really?), “it shouldn’t be outside,” and “our baskets looked great this year.” No ownership, no accountability, just attitude. The final straw? The employee’s parting words were: “I didn’t force her to buy them.” True, but she certainly forced me to never return. Save yourself the disappointment. There are better options out there. Haase’s green house or Plant Farm are great options. (The photos show the condition of the plant at the time of purchase, and again after following their recommended ‘cut back’ advice.)

They have nice plants, but similar to others, they would not honor their warranty. I bought 2 trees and paid them to plant them, in September. When early spring came, one was dead. They were 20% off and the manager told me because they were on sale, there is no warranty. I was told there was a warranty when I bought them.

Great variety of plants with reasonable pricing for a nursery. Found snowbank blackberries & lemon grass. Will definitely return for more plants.

They always have high quality stock on hand. This week, Mario showed us the maple trees they have on hand. He was knowledgeable about the trees and helped us pick out 5 beautiful trees. Mario secured them for transport, gave us planting tips and overall was a tremendous help. Thanks for hiring great people!
