My husband, Richard, and I had LP and his team come out to our house a few days ago for a yard assessment and we were extremely impressed by their knowledge and professionalism. We had multiple problems that had been a mystery to us, but were immediately recognized and addressed by LP. The team not only made suggestions for pruning and/or replacing some trees that were not doing well, but had advice for how to fix the issues with our soil. They also had landscaping ideas to balance out the look of our yard. Within 48 hours the first phase was already accomplished, with two more steps to go. We couldn't be happier with the outcome of their visit and LP's years of experience are clearly a major asset to Moon Valley and their customers.

My friend and I had a great experience here! Everyone was truly friendly and helped us pick out the right plants, pots, and everything else we could've needed to set up our house plants. Would highly recommend!

We have used Valley for the last 10 years after we moved here and were working on our landscape of the house we bought. They had a large selection of trees and shrubs that suited our needs. We have extensive background in landscape planting and maintenance, so we really had no need of customer service help except where to find something. We occasionally had issues with some trees with planting shock but we're able to nurse them through. We are now working on redoing a planted area and bought a small Japanese maple we liked. We were a bit concerned about it as it, and all the other Japanese maples, had been recently moved out of the shade house and into the full sun location with the rest of the trees. When asking the cashier about timing we were told, don't worry, you have a 90 day warranty, so we brought it home. We drove slowly along back roads to minimize wind damage, places it in a sheltered location for over a week with daily misting and watering, it seemed fine. We then moved it to the location where we eventually planned to plant it (but were not ready to plant yet, so we partially put the pot in a hole and surrounded it with dirt to avoid the pot getting too hot in the sun, and it was in an area that had irrigation. It never dried out. We left for a few days and when we returned all of the leaves were curled up and dead. The trouble began when we decided to return the tree for the warranty, feeling it was too far gone to nurse back. We were referred to a manager, 'Jake' and he walked out to the truck. From 20 feet away he started making defensive comments about things we must have done wrong to the tree, and when he got to the truck he told us as the tree had never been planted it was not under the warranty. He then got rude and insulting saying to read the warranty (we had, and read it again, and there's nothing in there we saw about planting being a criteria for the warranty). And that we had abused and neglected the tree. He continued with a lot of practiced canned answers and statements without allowing us to tell him measures we had taken. He told us it was because we didn't know what we were doing, he wasn't going to honor the warranty, and when we said we would no longer do business there he replied 'good, I don't need you'. Customer service here is non-existent, their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on, and we will not go back, ever. Rudeness of this level to a customer is not acceptable, and they don't take responsibility for their product. I've read some other negative reviews and our experience is not unique. Some answers to bad reviews have been given but worded in a way that said yeah, sorry for your experience but it's still your own fault. There are plenty of other places to go, including J and Js and a few other s that are more consumer friendly and knowledgeable than this guy. He does have being rude and arrogant well rehearsed though.

I really like this nursery and have always tried to support local businesses. I find that they really have a great staff and usually have a wonderful experience whenever we come I wanted to purchase a unique garden bulb that another nursery carried but I called Valley Nursery to see if they would carry the bulb I needed. They reassured me that they would get the bulb in but not until August. I actually called to more times and found the bulb delivery was going to be in September. today when I called September 8, I was told first that they didn't have the bulb I was told would be in the shipment. I talked with the new employee and explained that i had been told that they were going to carry it and she discussed with someone else and found they did have the correct bulb. I made the trip in was greeted nicely at the front desk told them what I was looking for and was then met with a very abrasive employee. Now I'm sure Valley Nursery is aware of this employee and she must be of value to their business, but it is a sad situation when an employee with very poor people skills turns customers away with such "TART" and abrasive words. My advice is support this local business and understand that you might meet up with a person that is not so pleasant. Don't let that encounter stop you from supporting a Nursery that has a lot of great helpful employees and great products otherwise.

Absolutely love coming here, I have never had a bad experience coming to valley. They always so helpful with everything. We love coming back every year for plants and more recently trees. #WestSideRules
