May 12, 2025Living in the valley over 20 years, this is the best nursery I’ve visited—gorgeous flowers and great selection. This Mother’s Day, I visited the nursery with my child and our small dog (4 lbs). I had called ahead to ask if dogs were allowed and was told “Yes.” We mostly carried her during our visit, but while browsing, a staff member told us our dog had peed—on gravel, not on plants. She appeared frustrated. We were confused and asked if dogs weren’t allowed. She explained dog urine can kill plants, which is a fair point. It would be much clearer to just say no dogs allowed in that case. If dogs are welcome but can’t relieve themselves at all, that needs to be stated and communicated upfront. Please consider setting a clear policy among your staff and give consistent info to the public. It would avoid a bad experience like this one and help keep visits as pleasant as your nursery deserves.
