Purchased a Heritage Birch with Glenn's help in selecting a great specimen. Justin and his crew did a great job with installation and Phillip kept me informed about delivery status. I highly recommend Sundown!!

I recently had Sundown Gardens build a large retaining wall and stone path with steps on a hill in our backyard. They started the work exactly when they said they would, their crews arrived every day like clockwork, their work was meticulous, and they left a clean job site at the end of every day while they were here. The wall is perfectly plumb and level, all of the stones are placed exactly where they should be, the steps were laid out ideally for the walk down the hill, and all of the mulch is placed where we needed it. I highly recommend David B and his team of professionals at Sundown Gardens for any landscape project you might be interested in. David's help with the design, oversight and execution of the project is greatly appreciated!

I purchased two Quick Fire Hydrangeas from Sundown Gardens in 2023. When they were finally delivered and installed—after a frustrating 3-month delay—it was immediately clear that one plant was significantly smaller than the other. Fast forward a year and a half later, and there’s still a stark difference: one has grown into a large, healthy shrub while the other remains undersized. Both plants are healthy, but clearly not the same variety. Despite sharing photos and raising my concerns, Sundown Gardens has refused to acknowledge the obvious difference in size and type. I believe I received one Little Quick Fire and one standard Quick Fire, making my landscape look visibly uneven and unbalanced. Their only response was to recommend I fertilize one and prune the other—which I’ve done. With my background in agriculture and biological engineering, and agronomy, I can confidently say this isn’t a maintenance issue—it’s a mislabeling and fulfillment issue. Unfortunately, Sundown Gardens refuses to take accountability or offer a replacement. Disappointed in their customer service and unwillingness to stand by their products. I won’t be purchasing from them again. Rosie's Gardens in Carmel is where we buy our amazing plants. Rosie’s is absolutely top-notch! Every plant we've purchased from them has been healthy, vibrant, and has thrived beautifully in our yard. Their team is knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell they care about both their products and their customers. Their plant selection is fantastic, and their pricing is more than fair—especially considering the quality you’re getting. On top of that, their warranty policy is clear, reasonable, and they actually stand behind it, which is rare these days. We've had nothing but great experiences with Rosie’s, and we recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their landscaping. Truly one of the best around! UPDATE 7.1.2025! You can now read their canned response, which clearly highlights their lack of plant knowledge. Both plants were installed at the same time by their own technicians, using the soil amendments they provided. They receive the same sunlight, water, and nutrients, as they are planted in the exact same substrate on the same side of the house. One plant is now twice the size of the other and significantly hardier. Even at delivery, the size difference was obvious. I’m an Agricultural Engineer with a background in agronomy and have owned a landscape company. I gave it six full growing seasons to see if the smaller plant would "catch up"— it hasn’t. When I reached out for assistance they said I "should stop fertilizing one plant and over feretilize the other". Wow, They really know their stuff.... Sundown Gardens’ dismissive approach is exactly why they’re falling behind in the local nursery market.

We couldn’t be more pleased with the excellent job David Bergman (Head of Landscape Operations/Partner) of Sundown Gardens (SG) did with our exterior project. David organized the collaboration with Hittle Construction and did a seamless job coordinating efforts (making it easy for us). SG’s portion of the project included a Redi-Rock wall, which surpassed our expectations . . . beautiful design and impressive work! Overall, David did an amazing job leading his team. We extend a special shout-out to Kenny, Project Manager; Mike, Foreman; Victor; and Francisco. Our compliments to the SG crew for their work ethics and skill level. They worked diligently, did an exceptional job, and finished each day with an impeccable clean-up. I can confidently recommend the Sundown Gardens team lead by David. We look forward to working with them once again on future projects.
