Apr 15, 2026I’ve shopped at The Groovy Little Greenhouse multiple times and have always loved the plants, candles, and overall atmosphere. I especially appreciated the staff member who took time to teach me about plants—it was a space of calm I valued deeply, especially as I use plants to manage stress. However, my most recent visit was deeply upsetting. During a calm conversation with an employee, I mentioned I was unsure about buying something for my girlfriend after a recent breakup. In that moment, I shared that, sometimes, when I was hurting, I felt like women could be mean. I didn’t mean it as a sweeping statement—just a personal reflection on the pain I was going through. Out of nowhere, the owner intervened, aggressively shouting at me and telling me to leave—before I could even explain or apologize, which I did. I stayed calm, but the way I was treated felt personal and discriminatory—especially as a U.S. Army veteran and someone currently studying to help other veterans. This also struck me at a time when I’ve been seeing a lot online about gender dynamics—how men are sometimes unfairly portrayed or treated, even in progressive spaces. In fact, the way I was treated that day, unfortunately, reinforced those worries—that men can be dismissed or misunderstood in these kinds of conversations. While I was really confused and flabbergasted as I was being verbally accosted and aggressively attacked, as I was leaving, I was trying to tell the other store worker, you know, if I had said anything wrong, or for lack of better words, when I used the word ‘mean,’ I was trying to apologize. But as I was trying to do that, the owner just kept getting louder and louder, approaching me aggressively. I rely on spaces like this for peace, not for feeling threatened. If anyone reading this has legal expertise, is connected to the Better Business Bureau, or is an advocate for protecting consumer rights, I hope you take this as a call to action. The store should be held accountable for how they treat all customers, and I believe there is evidence inside, like security footage, that could support this. I’ve never written a negative review before, but I felt I needed to speak up. Places built around nature and healing should be welcoming and safe for everyone. I hope this review sparks the accountability and change that is needed..

Feb 11, 2026Groovy Little Greenhouse is my favorite plant shop to go into. The staff are always super welcoming and knowledgeable. They always have the cutest plants and their "build a terrarium" section is by far the best I've seen. They also do holiday-themed things at their store (for ex: pink plants and pink/red pots for Valentine's day!). Just fantastic vibes and fantastic plants.

Jan 28, 2026I recently visited the Groovy Little Greenhouse for one of their events, 'planting with intention', and really enjoyed it. They have a lot to offer and were wonderfully kind and knowledgeable. Street parking is generally available. They did offer charcuterie at this event and had an option for those who are gluten-free.

Dec 24, 2025Absolutely loved this little shop! Stopped in during their Christmas party today and the entire staff was SO kind and made us feel right at home. They had a cute succulent bar and we were able to choose a few small succulents and decorate with cute figurines, rocks, crystals, etc. Hope this place thrives! Adorable little shop.
