I loathe giving local businesses poor reviews, especially when they get personal. I’ve really wrestled with this. The owner is unhinged. I went to get sweet potato vines. Her selection wasn’t great and they were limp. Additionally, they were very overpriced. She asked three times why I was declining. I finally told her I can get them at Whistle Stop as they are less expensive. I wanted a quantity of 12. When I was honest with her, and kindly done, she lost it. She raised her voice in that if I “choose to not shop local, that I’m taking money from her.” She kept raising her voice and practically ran out (not really run as she’s disabled). She grabbed a large cart and was thrashing it around. A gentleman intervened to help with the cart. I relayed to her that I have spent nearly $1,000 over the past three summers. Following, I was shaken because I couldn’t believe her disgusting behavior. I went to Whistle Stop, also local, and saved $73 for healthy plants. What she didn’t know is that had not worked consistently for a few months while caring for my ailing dad who had just passed away. Not everyone can always spend frivolously. She’s overpriced, but I have supported her since she’s a few streets down from me. She also isn’t hurting financially. She owns several rental homes in the area, is only open in the summer as she’s in Italy when not here. Her son is lovely and has always been kind, fun to chat with and helpful (everyone loves him). I will never step foot in her nursery again.

We were there today for the 1st time. Beautiful flower baskets for a fair price!! Dino was very helpful. We will definitely be buying our baskets there every year from now on.
