I love Tillery! However, I have to say, as a landscape designer/gardener who is there all the time, I’m worried about their employees. They all look emaciated, their clothes are falling apart, and they often seem stressed and stretched thin - they are clearly underpaid. I would gladly pay more per plant in order to see their employees paid more and taken care of. I imagine charging even $1 more per plant could rake in enough to give people a raise. They deserve it, and Austin can afford it!

Went this weekend for their grand opening for the new location and it is beautiful! Lots of great options, everyone that works there is knowledgeable, and prices are pretty good for happy and healthy plants! I got a Spanish lavender and a friend got a beautiful fig tree. Highly recommend!

I love this place. Currently they are getting ready to move down the road to another location. Lots of plants, pots, soil etc. all 30% off. I went into the greenhouse and it was like a jungle. I loved that feeling. I found the cutest Parlor Palm and a little pot and saucer. I named him Mervyn Frond. Haha I am looking forward to checking out the new location early 2026. The staff was really helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks again.

This nursery is so amazing. The organization is a bit chaotic, though that is part of the eclectic charm and it forces you to really browse through everything because they have so much variety! If you're looking for more exotic houseplants, this place needs to be the first on your list - their greenhouse is jaw dropping. I will go here just for their selection even though it is on the opposite side of town. Everything I have gotten here has gone on to not just survive the plant torture dungeon that is my home, but really thrive more than anything else I've gotten elsewhere. They aren't exactly cheap, but I think here you're paying for quality and variety of stock.
