Linden Nursery

The Linden Nursery is my favorite place. I am a beekeeper and working on a pollinator garden. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about plants that my bees like. Prices are reasonable and in line with other nurseries that care about their inventory. I highly recommend shopping here.

I bought two hydrangea plants from them. One was very healthy and looked great and the other looked really sick. When I brought it their attention before buying, I pointed out the yellow leaves with brown spots and stem lesions. The lady at the cash register argued that it was perfectly healthy and nothing was wrong with it. It was the only one left in that variety that I wanted so I took it home and cared for it and over the next two months I nursed it back to health, but I'm still really disappointed that they lied about this plant. I went back a few weeks later to see if they had anymore hydrangeas and I saw dozens more of that same plant and they were all over grown and needed pruning. This nursery does not take good care of their plants unless you get stuff early in the spring before their laziness shows.

Great plants. Terrible clerks. Many plants and trees are not priced. No problem until you ask an employee about their prices. Here's a typical response, "I dont know. I just work at this part." Or "I don't know, it's based on the size... but the cash register has a list." And then, "I don't know, let me see if I can find it on my phone." We went in two different days and got 2 different proce ranges and none for the actual size of tree we were interested in on their lot. It's hard to buy things here.

This place is amazing, don't be deceived by the humble entrance because the back has just as many choices as other nurserys if not more. Plants, trees, flower, seeds, anything you could possibly want and the store inside has some of the cutest items for home decor you could imagine.

Is there a reason you never answer the phone and never return calls when I leave a message? So weird for a retail business to operate this way. I would love to leave you a higher rating. I've bought many plants, chicken feed and other supplies, but I honestly go elsewhere now because of this recurring issue with their lack of phone service.
