The person I was intending to have the flowers delivered to was home all day the day of delivery (Valentine’s Day) and was awake by 9am but she said she didn’t hear them knock at all. They called her once and she didn’t see they had called since she has her phone on silent, she went outside and her flowers were left on her front porch. This woman’s bedroom is right next to her front door in her house I just don’t think they knocked very loud, there’s just no way she wouldn’t have heard it. Then to only call her once and not even attempt to contact me, the person who bought them, and just leave them on the porch, I didn’t like that. I feel like if you pay $100+ dollars for flowers and pay for delivery it should be hand delivered and not left on someone’s porch for someone else to possibly come along and take them. I would’ve preferred them to call me and I could’ve come picked them up or gotten ahold of the recipient. Other than that the flowers were very pretty but if you’re ordering from here and you don’t want the flowers left on their porch you might want to specify that.

I live in another state and having flowers delivered to my loved ones in Springfield has always been easy with them. They offer flowers I can’t find elsewhere easily and the bouquets have a wonderful variety. They have become my go to.

Really disappointing. My mom has ordered successfully from this business in the past but she said they have now lost her as a customer. On his birthday this past week, my boyfriend got a call about a (surprise) flower delivery. Awesome! He arranged for the flowers to be dropped off at around 4pm, which was the latest option and as close as possible to the time one of us could be home to grab the delivery. It was cold out, so the business didn’t want the flowers to sit outside too long. Still great. I left work early to get home before 4. However, the flowers never came. There was no update from the business, either. Thinking the flowers were perhaps accidentally left at the wrong apartment, my boyfriend (on his birthday) later walked around neighboring complex buildings to look for them. No luck. He ended up leaving a message with the business explaining the situation. They were closed by this time, so we figured he’d hear back from them in the morning. Unfortunately, the business never reached out to follow up. We still have no idea what went wrong, and never got an apology for the issue. The next morning, my mom let me know it was her who ordered the flowers for my boyfriend. She was aware they weren’t delivered on time. My mom had at that point canceled the order, thankfully for a full refund. However, a simple follow-up call and/or apology from the business to my boyfriend would have been helpful. If I hadn’t heard from my mom, my boyfriend and I would feel even more clueless than we are now as to why the flowers never arrived. Instead, this business failed to acknowledge that they wasted the time of multiple people. Mistakes happen. When they do, timely and honest communication make a difference. In this situation, we got nothing. I’m sure this is not the norm, but be wary.

You know as men that we are we make mistakes and sometimes this is the best gift to give to show that you actually care. I was in a very small time window they worked with me. Outstanding customer service!!! Would recommend to everyone.

I ordered flowers for my girlfriend in the morning, and they were delivered later the same afternoon. The ordering process was easy, the flowers looked great, and I will definitely be ordering more in the future from Flowers By Mary Lou.
