Mar 10, 2026We've been coming to the Houston Botanic Garden since 2021 and it's been such a joy watching the garden grow, both literally and figuratively. It's crazy to imagine that it used to be a golf course, but I'm really glad that Houston has its own botanic garden now. We love that Dog Days has become a more frequent event over the past few years and that was the main reason why we bought membership to the garden this past year. The perks that come with membership are well worth it regardless though, especially if you are planning on attending Radiant Nature (which is our second favorite event hosted by the garden). My favorite time at the garden has been when all of the Hippeastrum were in bloom because that was such a beautiful sight to see (all the varieties and colors that lined the walkways, starting from out in the parking lot). Alas, the landscaping is always changing, but we still always look forward to a trip to the garden!

Feb 27, 2026This was an incredible experience. Perfect place to take your date to. Parking was simple, admission was cheap. If your partner likes lights, plants or possibly both check this out.

Feb 25, 2026Amazing display of beautifully lit figures, 10’ flowers, animals, dragons…you name it. A must see while still being presented. Great for young and old!

Feb 12, 2026So pretty 😍 every was larger than life. The trail was longer then I expected. We stayed for about an hour. Only thing I didn't like was that you HAVE to purchase parking. There isn't any off site parking anywhere near the entrance. So you have no other options.
