Jan 21, 2026A peaceful oasis in the heart of Forest Park. Rich Art Deco architecture with light-filled interior make it a serene, inspiring place to wander. Built in 1936 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this historic conservatory is architecturally unique and visually striking. A quiet, beautiful escape within the city, perfect for reflection, outdoor photography, or simply slowing down among the gardens.

Aug 9, 2025I remembered the Jewel Box as a child growing up in St. Louis and wanted to bring my husband here. It was as enchanting as I remembered it. The flower garden lining the walkway is gorgeous, and the lily ponds are incredibly beautiful and peaceful. It only costs $1 per person to go inside, and it is totally worth it--especially on a hot day, it's delightfully cool & peaceful inside. (Note: Some of the glass was broken during the tornado earlier this year, thus the plywood in places.)
