Mar 4, 2026For regular folks like you and me, one needs a knowledgeable guide to make sense of what is available at this sprawling outdoor nursery. My wife and I were fortunate indeed to have Michael on his golf cart helping us locate each of the plants on our shopping list. Every question was answered and pricing was explained. Each plant was selected with his discerning opinion. MVGN is now our go-to nursery. Thanks, Michael!

Mar 1, 2026I went to Mesquite Nursery specifically looking for a plant. I found 2, but was unable to find anymore. Then I talked with Claire. She went to a storage area in the back of the property and found 2 more plants for me. Clare made my day! When you have staff that will go the extra mile for customers, you have a customer for life! Thanks again Claire. You are wonderful.

Feb 2, 2026I absolutely love this nursery! Everyone is super knowledgeable and friendly. The prices can be a bit expensive, but you have access to quality products and items you cant find in traditional stores. I included a picture of my most recent project that required multiple plant trips...

Jan 5, 2026(1/2/2026) I rarely stop by here but they sell native plants. I bought a small Creosote Bush ($19.95) and a Fairy Duster plant ($49.95). Michael was a great with helping me find plants that are non-toxic for dogs. I also bought one packet of Mexican Tarragon seeds ($4.49). They close at 5 p.m. so stopping by after work is a rush if you need time to look. Some other employees look very tired after a long day. 🏜 -------------------------------------- UPDATE:(Feb. 2025) First, I can't afford shopping here anymore. Paying $40 for a small half-gallon plant is much. Also, more than once did different young employees displayed bursts of unprovoked anger, twitchy body movements, and incoherent mumbling. It's really unsettling and is why I dropped my rating from 5 down to 3. Thankfully the older staff members are normal by smiling and helping customers. You can tell customer service takes their job very seriously. This is a gorgeous nursery with local and exotic plants but the prices are going way out of my budget and I don't feel comfortable around some of their staff members. I hope things change for the better. ----------------------------------------------------------------- This place is marvelous. It has so many varieties of plants. Tropical, desert, indoor, outdoor, etc. Its like discovering a rabbit hole for plant enthusiasts of all levels of knowledge. Thankfully I was offered help today by their friendly employee in the glazed pots department. I'm really glad the young man instructed me to place the pots upside down on my cart so they dont fall off. He said if I fill up one cart to make sure to leave it at the cashier, (give name to the cashier) and they will hold it until I'm ready to pay. Just also make sure to grab a sign, (in front of the gift shop) that says "this cart is being used" and hang it on the cart. He also let me know there are also several types of soil mixes available. Depending on what type of plant I buy, the correct soil type is critical to keeping my plants alive. This location gets super busy on weekends so be prepared to walk a ways from the entrance in order to get a parking space. I was very grateful for immediately being offered assistance with taking my purchases to my car too. I bought a lot and it was heavy. Give this place a chance as they have super friendly, well educated, and courteous staff. I totally look forward to my next visit.
