DO NOT BUY firewood from Persons Farm IT IS A SCAM!!! I purchased 2 cords of wood from Persons a month and a half ago. I specifically asked if the wood was seasoned or kiln-dried and was assured it was seasoned and ready to burn. First off, the agreed-upon price per cord was not honored, but I decided not to make an issue of it, as I was in need of seasoned wood. Once the wood was delivered, I quickly realized something wasn’t right. The splits were incredibly heavy and full of moisture. None of the wood was seasoned or able to be burned. I even tried splitting the pieces smaller and drying them on top of my wood-burning stove prior to burning. Not a single split would burn, and it caused excessive smoke to back up into the house. Not only was I sold green wood, but after stacking and measuring it, it was not even close to 2 cords!!!! I called the owner, who seemed reasonable at first. He actually told me he had other customers with the same complaints and would make good on it by dropping off another cord of “seasoned” wood. I had to wait over a month for this delivery and probably never would have received it if I hadn’t continuously reached out, because there was zero communication from the owner. Yesterday, he dropped what he claimed was a half cord of seasoned wood, and it was more of the same. The moisture meter the driver used on the splits was reading 27% (15% to 20% is acceptable for seasoned wood—I’ll be lucky if these splits are ready for next winter). It was not even a half cord; it was just over a quarter cord. The owner was zero help and didn’t seem to care that he ripped me off. Being overcharged for fake cords of seasoned wood—and having to wait for it, to boot—is unacceptable. I would be very careful buying stone, mulch, or any other products from them, as they don’t seem to measure or weigh what they sell and deliver. They must just eyeball it and hope the customer is an idiot. Absolute rip-off scam artists over there who take advantage of people. STAY AWAY.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Ordered $300 worth of wood for the upcoming winter storm to heat my house, they delivered us GREEN WOOD. it wont light for anything just slowly burns. Then they want to move on their own time when they know they scammed you. Just stupid people!!
