Had a great time making porch pots!

Someone gave me a poinsettia plant at Christmas and despite my brown thumb, it survived. Today I went to Skinner Garden Store when they opened and from walking through the front door, I was impressed. The two women working at the registers were kind. They called Bonnie, who came and helped me pick out a new pot and replanted my little green friend. She gave me good information on what to expect after repotting. I was hoping for a good first experience, and what I got exceeded my expectations. Just seeing all the beautiful plants in the greenhouse was a joy. If you get the chance, I highly recommend visiting this Topeka oasis.

Just passing through, but I’m a sucker for a garden center. Honestly, this may be the best one in America. From the beautiful landscaping to the friendly and knowledgeable staff: this is it! Wow! Their selections seemed endless. Beauty abounds. From traditional houseplants to succulents, amazing flowering plants for shade or sun, a seemingly endless selection of trees: they have it all. Go! Spend too much money!

Today was my first day in the store and they were wonderful! I loved the big selection of items they have and being greeted by smiling faces is always a pleasure! Tori Really helped me out; She talked with me about the soil PH levels and when I asked if they had 10 gal buckets, she took me right over to the spot they'd be in. She was super helpful answering my questions and helping me navigate around the store. I didn't end up buying the soil she recommended this time around, but I'll be back with MORE money to GET that soil; Didn't have enough money for it this time but in a few days, I'll be back!
