The Butterfly Greenhouse

Very cool place tucked away behind the greenhouses. When we were there the attendant showed us some Monarch caterpillars that they had hatched right there. Definitely going to go back to enjoy the sitting areas as well. The flowers were gorgeous.

Amazing way to view butterflies! You can purchase a little sponge to ‘feed’ the butterflies. Great experience, will come again

Wilsons greenhouse in Frankfort ky. Butterflies won't be there until june. It's 10 dollars a person to enter. Young children will enjoy it. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable about plants.

This place is SO neat! My very active son had the best time and was so quiet and engaged. We paid for entrance and added a few butterfly feeders on to our admission, which I HIGHLY recommend! The butterflies loved the little feeders they gave us and we were able to watch the butterflies so closely. Be careful where you step as you walk through this magical little house because butterflies are everywhere. What a neat way to learn about butterflies!

They pretend to be a nature preserve and promote the conservation of Monarchs. They hold them in captivity, denying them to migrate as they instinctively do. I would not recommend paying the price of admission to observe numerous Monarchs wanting desperately to be set free. Completely irresponsible and abhorrent.
