I enjoy every visit to this garden center, it has just about whatever plant or product you want, and many you can afford! The staff are polite and generous with a chat, or heavy lifting (I need that now!) Great Outdoors is welcoming to families, and dogs on leashes. Austin owned, Austin people with jobs, so I go there and not a box store.

I went to Great Outdoors with an area in my lawn that needed plants. I had vague ideas of what I wanted. I was directed to Aiden for help and help he did. Aiden answered my questions and made fantastic suggestions. Together we filled all my requests. Aiden was a garden chef, he knew everything about the plants. I highly recommend Great Outdoors and if in need of perennials, see Aiden.

Never even got the opportunity to buy something. Called on Saturday to ask if they had a specific plant in stock, said it was coming in Monday and so they recommended to come back then to get the best selection. Went on Monday and they said “oh, we haven’t done inventory so you can’t buy it yet, maybe try tomorrow” (even though we could see the plants in the back). We decided we could call first next time, called every day of the week and they kept saying “oh check back tomorrow”. Finally on Friday we called and the plants were available to buy. We went and were there 20 minutes to close, gate were closed! It just seems poorly run and can’t even buy something if you want to.

The selection is vast and the quality of plants and ceramic pots is superb. It's a bit pricey and the though the staff is very knowledgeable I found a few of them a bit grumpy. Still, I'd go back and I've sent others there too.
