The Green Haven Project

Every third Sunday they serve Togo plates for the homeless people in the community. Partnered with the smile trust organization.

Gate was locked so I couldn’t see it. I’ve never experienced a community garden that had a gate locked around it. I’ve been to many all around South Florida and North Florida, as well as Austin, Texas, and upstate New York, and even Europe. None of them had a locked gate. Very sad because I traveled 14 miles to see it. I’m gathering information to see how local community gardens are built. I also used to help create them in Tallahassee. It would’ve been nice if there was a little sign with someone’s contact information but there wasn’t anything. For all I know it’s not there anymore. The land could’ve been bought out and now under construction or something. I don’t know because no sign was there to tell me.

The Green Haven project is a beautiful oasis! I will visit at every opportunity I can get! Shout out to Jorge for all his work and patience!
