The Greenhouse Project

My family shops here for the annual Mother's Day sale, as well as occasionally at the farmers market. They recently assisted the kids and I with starting our own worm vermicompost bin. My kids aren't even high school age yet but all five of them are growing to enjoy their FFA projects more and more.

This non profit greenhouse is a Carson City treasure. It is located at the high school and teaches students all aspects of organic horticulture. The vegetables are donated to local food banks and to the high school culinary arts program. The flowers fill the baskets that line Main Street during the summer.
