Aug 25, 2025Yamaguchi is a family own small business with nice and honest employers. I come here a lot and got a lot of help on how to taking care of the plants and bonsai. Their employers are very honest and never try to sell me anything I don't need. They even gave me advice on making the decision of spending money on expensive bonsai tools which I appreciated a lot. The owner is very knowledgeable about plants and her pre-bonsai plant collection is from good sources. Even if the price of some items are a bit higher than Amazon, I still buy them and support the local business. They also have bonsai class for beginners and advanced.

May 16, 2025The pictures speak for themselves. Wide selection of stunning BONSAI TREES for indoor and outdoor! The young man at the front was incredibly helpful, he took the time to guide me through the best options for my needs and explained which bonsai trees are ideal for indoors versus outdoors. He also shared plenty of useful tips on how to properly care for them. I walked away feeling much more informed about bonsai trees. Great experience overall, I’ll definitely be back!

Mar 18, 2025This is a plant store I usually go to and I’ve purchased small to large plants/trees as well as pots there over several years. However, I was really not happy with how I was charged with delivery and repotting for one plant with my recent purchase. I was charged $100 more by accident at the store which I later found out by adding up the numbers on my receipt again. The delivery fee was $120 which is a 5 mile drive. At the store, it was discussed that repotting would be another $50 which I thought would include everything without any more charge. When the plants were delivered. I was asked if I had potting soil for the repotting. I was surprised because I thought the $50 extra fee would mean that I don’t need to prepare my own soil. Luckily I had some soil and it was almost enough and I was told there was soil in the delivery truck. Though the delivery and repotting process were very nice and we used all my own soil and some from an already opened bag of soil (not a full bag of soil) from the delivery truck. They left the soil with me and at the time I thought I was nice. When it came to paying the delivery fee and repotting fee which was only accepted in cash. It was mentioned briefly that the soil was extra $20 which brought the total to 120+50+20 = $190. But remember we used most of my own soil and only a little of their soil. Even thought it was left with me it wasn’t a full bag from the beginning and let alone to mention the price before hand. Plus, I don’t need additional soil. I brought 2 $100 bill and was expecting a change of $30. And they kept mentioning the soil was extra $20 and they have no change to give back even though I can see cash in their wallet. So in the end I had to pay $200 for delivery 1 small tree, 1 plant, 2 pots and also was charged $100 more by mistake at the store. Really disappointing and probably won’t go back. Be aware of the prices and fees.

Feb 5, 2025Bonsai collection is alright. Nothing special. I only saw one or two that caught my eyes but they're not for sale. Highly overpriced for what you are getting. None are styled well enough to be considered great or outstanding. Some trunks have potential. The foliage style is average. Again, highly overpriced. The most that they should be charging is 5k and not over 20k.

Jul 1, 2024Got my first bonsai from here about a year ago, and just bought a second one today. They are so knowledgeable and helpful. It’s always a delight coming here and I leave feeling extremely capable of taking care of my plants once I leave from there!
